SEO is a somewhat complicated task because today's search engines take many factors into consideration when ranking web sites. Things like META tags, photo descriptions, and key word text on the pages are only the beginning. Search engines also consider how long your domain name has been registered and the length of the current registration. Other factors keep this area of web marketing in a constant state of flux. Social media, quality incoming links and other non-site criteria play a major role in your search engine ranking. To make things more difficult, each search engine has its own weighted criteria for establishing ranking. Sometimes this means doing well in one search engine may mean not doing well in another.
