Online Training:
We have helped numerous clients launch online training web sites. We are experts in the MOODLE education platform. This program is fairly easy to use and yet has the sophistication to operate as an online college. We have used MOODLE for employee orientation, safety training, colleges, non-profits and even for certification and continuing education for a professional psychiatric organization.
Calendars:
If you need a nice graphic calendar WVIS has a program for you. The CalendarPlus program makes it easy to schedule reoccurring events. The category feature allows you or your web visitor to filter event listings by whatever category you set up (e.g. staff, sports, public, seminars, etc.) This full feature calendar program has many more features.
Document Storage and Retreival:
Our two Online Document Storage Systems (ODSS) offer you a choice between simplicity and sophistication. An ODSS allows you upload any type of file into password protected directories on your web site. Your clients, staff or others can then go download those documents with their password. The advantage of the ODSS is that each group or client has their own protected folder and can only access that folder. You can load contracts, instructions, audio files, etc. and leave them online for designated users to retrieve at will. The ODSS works great for documents that are too big to e-mail or with those who might want access to the documents at different times through the year. The full-featured program has options for version tracking, check out and check in of documents and a one-click conversion to PDF files. The admin area logs each and every login and tracks when a document has been accessed or downloaded. Many more premium options are available.
News Program with Headline Tickers:
WVIS's NewsPlus Program allows you to easily create fully formatted news articles and informational pages, complete with pictures, graphics and hyper links. The program features your choice of a Headline "ticker" or "scroller" that displays the headline and a "snippet" of information about each article on your front page. There are two real advantages to the news program. First it allows you to easily add current news, information and temporary content to your web site. The second advantage is you are feeding fresh, new and relevant content to your front page without taking up a lot of space or having constantly edit it. A date range allows you to set up an article in advance and have it display between a date range you choose. The program automatically pulls the article off the site when the expiration date is reached so you don't have to remember or have outdated info online. The NewsPlus program also gives you the option to add a sponsorship banner ad to the news article. These banners can be sold for revenue or can be given away for value-added service to your clients. You can also use them to promote your own services, products and events or even as community service. Each banner is linkable to a website you specify and the program tracks both the number of times a banner is displayed and how many times it was clicked.

The ObitPlus program for funeral homes, newspapers, radio stations or other community news outlets allows you to post and display obituary information easily. Each obituary is displayed in it's own page with times of services, a photo of the deceased (optional) an the obituary. A unique feature is the personal Guestbook. Each obituary has a private guestbook that online visitors can leave a memorial message, a memory or a note to the family. All Guestbook entries are moderated and do not post until they are approved by the program administrator. The program features two ways for people to find obituaries. The first is a live feed of current obits to the front page. You can determine if you want the last 3, 5 10 or more obituaries listed. The name of the deceased and the date of death is displayed. This tag can be clicked for direct access to the individual obituary. The second is a search feature that allows a visitor to search by first and last name, date of death and other criteria. This makes a great program for historical and genealogical research.
