Getting Started
Many businesses and organization recognize the
potential for a web site, but really aren't sure just how to best utilize
the Internet or even how to get started. No problem!
We don't just build web sites. We are
internet marketing consultants. A large part of our business is
educating our clients on the best use of the Internet. You know your
business and we know the current design elements and technologies available on
the Internet. Together we can develop a strategy and design a web site
that will accomplish your goals.
Here are some preliminary questions and
answers that will
start you on the path to a successful web presence:
-
How much does a web
site cost? There are three costs involved in web sites.
-
The first is a domain name. You
may register your domain name for 1 - 10 years. Internet standard rate
is $35 per year with discounts for multiple years. With some design
packages we will buy your domain name for you as a bonus.
-
Initial upfront Web Site development costs.
These range from $100 to thousands depending on your site and features.
Complete 3-page brochure sites start at $349. A typical small business
site with some nice features will run $500-$1000 and E-commerce packages,
real estate and auto dealer sites start at $599 and go up depending on
features.
-
Hosting and maintenance. Hosting
is like leasing hard drive space and access for your web site so it can be
accessed via the Internet. Our standard managed hosting is $22.95 per
month and includes, E-mail, tech support and basic site maintenance, which
includes minor changes to existing content. Advanced maintenance may
be paid for on a monthly contract or on an as-needed basis. Advanced
maintenance would include the addition of new pages and features, major
content revision or site redesign.
